Hi, I’m Erin! I first discovered soap-making through YouTube videos, looking for a fun way to pass the time. Intrigued by the process, I decided to give it a try with supplies from Hobby Lobby, with my mom's help. My first attempt at cold-process soap in my kitchen was nerve-wracking—I even had a mishap with lye! After a failed batch and a short detour into melt-and-pour soap, I returned to the drawing board, armed with notes and tutorials. My second batch was a success, and from there, my confidence grew with every new batch. As I continued perfecting my craft, my sister suggested the name "FloSo" for my new soap business. While that name was already taken, "Flosoap" was available, so I secured my LLC in May of 2024. At that point, I came up with my first motto: "Quality Soaps—Handcrafted with Love." This phrase perfectly captured my passion for creating soap that’s made with care and attention to detail. But as my business grew, I wanted to express even more of the care and purpose behind every bar. That’s when I came up with my new motto: "For Skin That Deserves Soap, Beautifully Crafted in Small Batches." This reminds me every day that I’m not just making soap—I’m creating something special for your skin, crafted with love, passion, and a commitment to quality. Now, I’m always brainstorming new ideas for soaps and striving to build a brand you can trust. I’m so grateful for my family’s unwavering support and thankful to God for guiding me on this soap-making journey. And that’s how Flosoap came to be!
